St. Anthony's Hospital, Gig Harbor,Wa (The Chapel)

This is the completed wall that I worked on. If you scroll down to the bottom you will see the transformation of the wall from beginning to end.

The last part of the wall pieces to go in.
Kim finishing the area for the tabernacle to go into. The window never went in, the tabernacle was too big to fit. So that was changed.

I stood on this rolling scaffold to install the panels on the top part of the wall.
Getting the cleats where they have to be for the panels to match the outside wall.
Kim working the panels on the hidden door(that's not so hidden right now).
Kim and Kent discussing what has to be done.
The fitting of the panels.

This is the beginning. Kim and Ryan started by laying out the wall in pencil, then I came into the picture to help. I screwed the brackets that the accoustic panels would hang onto the wall, then Kim would fit each panel, each one that had to be re-sized and re-upholstered. I worked with him with that. Then after fitting the panels like a puzzle he would start with the door and get the cleats screwed onto the door, from there he would install the panels. From that point he would work by figureing out where the cleats needed to go in order to install the panels. They had to match the existing lines on the concrete walls outside the front widnows. I helped by installing cleats and then panels. I worked with him on this for a month, then he had to leave for Denver. I finished the wall a month later (we had to stop working in the chapel for two weeks so that the electricians and the painters could come in a spray this special paint onto the walls.

The pencil rail on the right side Henry and I started, and Eric and I finished. The pencil rail on the back wall, Eric and I worked on together. He taught me how to install it. This was the first of many rooms that Eric and I worked on together. He is also a great finish carpenter. I learned alot from him as well.

St. Anthony's Hospital, Gig Harbor,Wa(patient room)

You can't really see the top of the wardrobe cabinet, but Dave worked with me and taught me how to scribe fillers for the top of these cabinets on the 4th floor patient rooms. I worked with him on them for two days.

St. Anthony's Hospital, Gig Harbor,Wa (X-ray room)

In the far corner behind the ladder I installed brackets and a shelf in this room and the room next to it. Kent taught me how to measure, center, install toggle bolts and hang standards level, then hang the shelf. He is a great finish carpenter also. I learned a lot from him, and he is a good instructor/mentor. Kent was also my foreman along with Kevin.

This is Ryan, taking a break before he and Kim get back to working on some cherry paneling on a waiting area.

St. Anthony's Hospital, Gig Harbor,Wa(PACU room)

This room was also a group effort. Each piece on either side of the stations had to be taken completely apart, modified and put back together on each center wall. I helped take them apart, remove the vinyl and number them so that they could be put back together. I also cut and added 1"x 36" sticks onto the frames before we could put the side pieces and vinyl back on. Bono, Garland, Kent, Scott worked on this as well. I worked with all of them and they did a great job at refitting all of these individual stations.
As you can see the finished product, you would have never known this room needed this much work to complete it. Kudos to all the guys!

St. Anthony's Hospital, Gig Harbor,Wa (Main floor lobby elevator)

This lobby area was a joint effort. Jerry C. worked on the base, Eric, Tony, Tim, Brian, myself worked on the paneling. I worked with Eric for two days on this and on the third floor elevator lobby.

St. Anthony's Hospital, Gig Harbor,Wa(3rd floor nurses breakroom)

This the "After look" when the nurses have moved in.
This is the before shot of the nurses breakroom. Tony taught me how to install these cabinets. I did the first upper cabinets and then we had to quit because the outlet for the microwave didn't line up with the cabinet. We had to wait for either a change or a correction on the wall to finish. Tony finished the uppers later.
